Walking
Harrison wanted his Grandma and Grandad who are on a special SKI holiday to see a video of how well he is walking this week.
Love you, Grandma and Grandad!
1st Birthday
Harrison, I can’t believe you are 1! On your birthday in Fiji you woke up early for presents.
After breakfast I took you to the pool bar. Where else does a young 1 year old go to celebrate! I think I’ll need to build a pool bar in our back yard before your 2nd birthday. This of course means I’d best get cracking on an actual pool out there too.
We had a huge party for you when we got home and while I didn’t get around to chatting to everyone there, I’m pretty sure you did! You are such a social butterfly, and you are always smiling and happy.
Happy Birthday, son. We love you to the moon and back.
Mothers Day
Someone really needs to have a word with that other half of mine – having just gone through the photos by date, is there a photo of me with my child taken on Mothers Day? No, there is not. We had fun anyway though, and even though we were far off in Fiji, I did get a card at least, so he does get partial points for that.
We spent most of the day doing this:
This was the most amount of fun, ever. I had some ladies come over to introduce themselves to me and let me know just how much fun they were having too, just by watching how much fun Harrison was having. I knew just what they meant – his laugh is so infectious.
Harrison also took his daddy for a walk – he is getting rather good at walking! He’s even breaking into a bit of a jog now, which I have to say is scary, because he seems to have no common sense. He gets that from his father.
You Can Teach A Baby New Tricks!
Harrison is just starting to be old enough to stay up to eat with the family of a night.
(Previously, he’d be ravenous the very second he got in the door from a busy day at daycare, and need to eat. NOW!)
Last night, he absolutely loved sitting with the family to eat dinner, and it was a bit noisier than usual as his Nanna and Grandad were over for dinner. I’m not sure why but every now and then everyone at the table would whoop and all lift their arms up. Harrison’s a good sport, if nothing else, so he joined in and raised his arms to the sky. I can tell by the look on his face that he’s secretly thinking “What a bunch of nutbags! These people are related to me?”
